I can tell you for a fact... I was not home very often to watch television in the 70's especially on Friday... but If I was home... I probably would have watched "The Rockford Files" and "Police Woman"

i remember being so desperate to get home after school so i could watch sailor moon. at some point they changed the air time from 4 to either 3 or 3:30 so that meant i wouldn't actually get home in time to see it. but this was an integral part of my childhood.

 I can remember rushing home from school for just one TV series which was the 1964 German B&W adaptation of 'Robinson Crusoe'.

It's been ages since I've been to a Jack In The Box restaurant (I'm rather fond of the Sour Dough Jack... but they discontinued these tall signs a long time ago (that you could see from a distance) for safety issues with high wind...

One of the "joys" of living outside the village limits: No rushing home for anything after school - just an hour-long bus ride. Longer if there was inclement weather or the bus broke down.

One of the American television shows I really miss is "The Merv Griffin Show" In the 60's into the 70's and early 80's... Merv Griffin brought the most thought provoking people from the current political arenas, athletes and the arts and entertainment industries into everyone's living room five days a week... I met him in Palm Springs through a mutual friend... incredibly nice man.

during like the only year i agreed to ride a bus i was one of the first stops for pickup but the last stop for drop off. literally an hour long ride. the next year my dad started taking me to and picking me up again.

there were also like two incidents in grade school where the teachers just couldn't grasp the fact that i did not ride the bus, got picked up, and the person picking me up was a little late. one time they tried shoving me onto a bus but my dad showed up before they succeeded. the second time they actually got me onto a bus that took me to an address i had not lived at for years. somehow my dad and gram managed to figure out where i was going and got there to pick me up.

^^most shoe salesmen I deal with today can not believe it when I tell them I wear a 12A shoe size.  The have to get out their Brannock to verify
