Undress Me; Déshabillez-moi is a song first recorded by Juliette Gréco in 1967.

In 1987 Mylène Farmer recorded a cover of Déshabillez-moi which first appeared as a b-side to Sans contrefaçon and was later included on Farmer's second album Ainsi soit je..... Farmer performed the song during her 1989 tour with it being included on corresponding live album and video releases. Farmer again performed Déshabillez-moi during her 2006 Avant que l'ombre... à Bercy residency. When Avant que l'ombre... à Bercy was released as a live album and video, the live recording of Déshabillez-moi was released a single to promote it.

Gréco was not impressed by Farmer's cover of Déshabillez-moi; Gréco considered it too sweet and that it lacked enough "bitch".

Canadian singer Patti Layne also released a cover of Déshabillez-moi in 1987.

I have a couple more workarounds...

Post links without embedding. I'm able to do that by Control+Z PC and Command+Z Mac

The second requires a u toob account. Create playlists for the songs. That would require embedding only one link. I tried it without an account, it doesn't work.

Ukulele

I wish there was a database to search for individual musical instruments used in songs/recordings.

I like ukulele solos by non-professionals, which there are thousands on u toob, but that's not what I'm looking for today.

I still confuse surfer rock guitar with ukulele, and vice versa, sometimes...

trying searching by playlists, there's a couple on spotify that will come up when you search ukulele and it's just songs that feature or are played solely on it.

undercover; Here We Go is a song originally recorded by Moonbaby, an alias for Miranda Copper of songwriting/production house Xenomania. When released as a single it 2000 in failed commercially. However, the song would go on to be covered by Lene Nystrøm (of Aqua) in 2003 and Girls Aloud in 2004. Most notably a re-written and remixed version of Here We Go was used as the theme song for the French/Canadian animated series Totally Spies. Below is the introduction sequence to Totally Spies.

variety (i feel like there's going to be a little stretching going on today); Pink Lady are a Japanese music duo who were most popular in the late 70's; having a string of 9 number ones on the Oricon chart and having 11 total singles sell over a million copies. Pink Lady achieved moderate success in the US when their single Kiss in the Dark hit the US Billboard Top 40 (#37). Pink Lady are, to-date, one of only two Japanese artists to reach the top 40 of the Hot 100, the other being Kyu Sakamoto. A subsequent English album did not fare as well with it technically not charting on the actual Billboard 200 with it instead appearing at number 205 on the "bubbling under" chart.

Pink Lady are most notable in the US, or infamous, for their short-lived 1980 self-titled NBC variety show. the Pink Lady show, later retitled Pink Lady and Jeff, only lasted six episodes and is considered to be one of the worst television shows ever produced and is (dramatically) credited with killing the variety show format on American television. Neither Mie or Keiko spoke much English and were forced to memorize dialog they did not understand. The duo were also initially not permitted to perform their Japanese songs, again forcing them to struggle through covering English songs they didn't understand. Frustrated by the show's failure (and also likely their treatment on it) Pink Lady returned to Japan and never again tried to enter the US market.

Pink Lady have broken up and reunited multiple times over the years though they scarcely release new material. Below is Pink Lady's Kiss In The Dark.

My parents liked variety shows and I remember Pink Lady, but honestly forgot all about comedian Jeff Altman. I also remember Barbara Mandrell & The Mandrell Sisters variety show from the very early 80s.

This is gold for nostalgia. They had on legends like Roy Orbison and Blondie's Debbie Harry, and the likes of Hugh Hefner and his Playboy bunnies and Donnie Osmond singing Donna Summer's hit single Heaven Knows with PInk Lady. Fabulous.

Wikipedia Love originally wanted to name the band Sweet Baby Crystal Powered by God, but opted for the name Hole instead.^[15] During an interview on Later... with Jools Holland, she claimed the name for the band was partly inspired by a quote from Euripides' Medea that read: "There is a hole that pierces right through me."^[16] She also cited a conversation with her mother as the primary inspiration for the band's name, in which her mother told her that she couldn't live her life "with a hole running through her".^[5][17] Love also acknowledged the "obvious" genital reference in the band's name, alluding to the vagina.^[5]
