BEFORE Boards Shorts became "normal", the first two images are of NORMAL (2"-3' inseams short lengths rather than "short shorts".  "Walking Shorts" were 2" above the male knee, which made "normal" shorts look much shorter on taller guys over 6' in height.  Normal guys with a bit of thigh muscle looked very sexy, back then.  6' guys with muscular thighs looked great.  Some hair for artistic effect looked even hotter.  Of course, muscular calves were always good, no matter the shorts' length.
