I'm not a Costco devotee, but I have several friends who are and who're very astute shoppers.  I doubt whether the creator of this meme did any price comparisons at his/her local supermarket, much less a Whole Foods and its ilk.  News flash:  Grocery shopping is expensive everywhere.  @Ludwick: I'm confident you're capable of comparison shopping and deciding where to shop accordingly.

To be fair, that was two grocery carts full to almost overflowing. We hate shopping, so we don't go any more often than we really need. Local supermarket. Possibly a little less expensive if we went to a competitor further away, but not enough so to matter in the grand scheme of things.
