These fantasies can be real, but rather than just tied to a tree or staked to the ground, in modern times, you could end up behind bars (which might have its own set of fantasies) for an extended period of time.  It's one thing for the undercover vice cop to get off, quite another when he says "OK, play time over" and hauls you to jail . . . unfortunately.  Many times, they do not get "the deviants" they desire, but normal straight guys who want to experiment.  The same guys who are oblivious to the existence of "the tubs", it seems.

Bad thing is that it has become a bit unsafe for any single male to be seen in a public park, enjoying nature, by himself, without being suspected to be cruising, and all that might mean.  Which might mean to join a male nude group that goes places to enjoy nudity, without being sexual about it.  Some have access to resorts for male nudity, too.  Even at the tubs, there are rules about where "activity" can happen, but at least that location has more safety involved, usually.  If you see some guy wandering around in his underwear, be suspicious.
