almost every day, I get up with a song from the 60s in my head. today is was Fooled Around and Fell in Love - as for me, I fooled around with a little grocery shopping and worked on the collection afterwards, and tomorrow, the lady next door is hosting a little brunch in honour of her Mother's 90th birthday, so I don't have to cook :) as to the boyz, my fave rave is Andy Mantegna. there's something about that boy that puts a hitch in my get along. I am only so sorry that he died so young, before I had a chance to express my love and admiration to him :) welcome to our newest clubmembers, and see you tomorrow!

I remember the song you mentioned, "Fooled Around and Fell in Love", so I looked it up. Actually first recorded in 1975 by Elvin Bishop, which is the version I remember. Looks like you're headed into the modern age! 😁

Yes, "Fooled Around and Fell in Love" was a hit in early 1976, and most people don't know that the lead vocalist was none other than Mickey Thomas of Jefferson Starship/Starship fame.  But Elvin Bishop's record was the first time the public at large heard Mickey on a mass scale.
