thank god THAT is over with
the amateur show
(read: fiasco)
went pretty much as suspected it would
when you have bits making an attempt to be funny
but you fold yourself in various positions to not offend anybody
because - after all - satire should NEVER hurt...
right???
indeed
the marx brothers - w.c. fields....all the way to monty python and southpark
nothing any of them said ever hurt anybody's feewings
eber eber eber
the two song parodies warned would fall like lead
were received worse than that
when people who can not act
and are not particularly humous in their regular lives attempt humor
- well----it was painful
as to the remaining piece wrote
- they did not show up for any rehearsal
and it would have been appreciated by if they had not shown up for the show because they fucked up literally EVERY line!
literally every line?
YUP
EVERY FUCKING LINE!
not only did they not know what or where they were in the piece
neither did the audience
(suffice to say - these bits wrote really have yet to really ever be performed)
the show ran short
said to one of the producers
"bet you wish now you hadn't cut so much of the skits now - huh?"
the reply: "actually people like song parodies more. acted skits are too wordy"
seriously?
acting is ok - just don't be "wordy?"
what???????
QUESTION: DO YOU PREFER A SONG PARODY OVER A SATIRICAL SKIT?
