another day, another devalued dollar! I hope I don't jinx things by saying that I have been sleeping better sans shoulder pain. my physical therapist is quite nice (for a woman). I have been pinning hopes on winning Lotto to engage a live-in personal trainer, preferably one who looks a lot like Alex Munsch. his images are so dreamy, I do wonder if there is some sort of digital enhancement. whatever. as long as said trainer is majestic, male, and muscular, as well as prone to cuddling. how we do go on! you are getting a little lagniappe today, to help me even out my folders. hope you like!

@ColtMann : "another day, another devalued dollar"???  Against which currency?  (Or more accurately, against which standard index of currencies?)

Certainly not against the pound sterling or the euro, especially not since the Brexit vote.  After that fiasco, sterling plunged by almost 50¢/£ virtually overnight and has been fluctuating a few cents above and below $1.25/£ since them, much to the distress of some of our UK members.  (Not so shockingly, of course, Russian meddling in that referendum is widely suspected by almost everyone except You Know Who, his most blindly devoted base voters, and diehard Brexit backers.)

Similarly, the greenback has been hovering in the range of roughly $1.11 - $1.15 per euro for the last few years, vs. a blip up to almost $1.25 two years ago.  It's been trending downward from over $1.50/€ since the Financial Meltdown of 2008 (AKA the Great Recession).  Visiting Europe and the UK are a huge bargain these days...if only we could safely, and they'd allow us to visit without quarantining.

When you're choosing from among your collection of tired clichés, stick to the less technical ones.  Unless you're trying to keep up with You Know Who in the department of mangled statistics. whip-900.gif.e504385f9d9e2c3301590612e252369d.gif

whatever. I have more tired clichés than Carter has of little liver pills. some day when I have time on my hands, I will forward you my editorial comment about brexit, which, originally I thought was a Maltese rock star or something.
