at my age, the only vice left is eating. when the visiting nurse was here on Thursday, it was revealed that I have gained 24 lb since the holidays. therefore am on a starvation diet 😞

Better to get moving more!  Different food choices can help too!  One start would be "keeping the pipes cleaned out" more often.  The bad thing about male aging is that when we were younger, "morning wood" was great to have.  Now, it means the backside needs emptying soon.  Get MOVING to keep large muscle groups engaged and healthy, which is natural way to boost "good hormone" levels naturally.  Then, there are also herbs which can help.

The backstory to the adult turtle's aggressive protective instincts here is that after female sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand on the beach, they then return to the sea, leaving the eggs to develop on their own.  When the baby sea turtles hatch and emerge from their nests, they head for the water.  From the time the hatchlings begin to emerge from their nests until they reach deep enough water, they're vulnerable to being eaten by crabs, birds, raccoons, foxes, and any other animals who're lying in wait for them to emerge or who happen to be roaming the beach at the time.  And including the turtles who fall prey to natural predators even after they reach the water, scientists estimate that fewer than 1 in 1,000 hatchlings reach adulthood.

Chapman took considerable artistic license in this piece in that when the hatchlings are making their way to the water, the adults have long been gone and aren't around to protect them.  The male turtle hadn't been around since he mated with the female, and she had returned to the sea as soon as she'd nested her eggs.
