the news today is not very cheery - I am still stuck with computer problems. a glimmer of hope is hearing from an IT guy who lives in the same town as I. dunno if we will get together tomorrow or if I have to hang fire until Monday. I am trying to be brave, however, it is a travail. FWIW, I did not get final jeopardy tonight; who knows a lot about the history of france? I am lucky to know how to say Louis XV and Louis XVI. pray for me.

y'know, some people wonder why I am so inordinately crabby. well, I'll tell you - this stupid computer is coming up with more ways to annoy me. the latest is, all my tray icons disappeared. but hey boy, all I have to do is click on the disappeared start button, and awaywego. I am serving notice: if I can't get this thing repaired in the next two or three days, I am about ready to toss in the towel.

well, the news from Mudville is not very inspiring. I have worked on the computer on and off all day, with a zip out for supplies, to visit my patients at the rest home, and see my physical therapist. ergo, not too much got accomplished. I have a couple of more items restored, however the main interest is just not coming along. I have got to find some sort of IT who will work remotely or will come over here and str8ten me out. perhaps tomorrow will be more fruitful. @Nokomis just called and poss

I thought this the best way to disseminate information: I am struggling to get my computer back in order. not making a lot of progress, I must say. last night, the hurricane passed far west of us, and whilst it rained a bit, it was nothing unusual. what is unusual is, my telephone land line has gone wonky, which is just one more issue for me to deal with. back to the storm, I hope all of you in floorda are all right and not suffering damage. the media are terribly disappointed that there was not
