Profile: “There's a story behind the Bill Gatewood pic. It was taken by his boyfriend at the time who was an ex-priest. They had a spat and the b.f. sent the pic to Playgirl without Bill's consent, and it was published. Bill was in his late 30s at the time and was a professor at (I think) USC. He was fired because of the picture. I'm quite sure he sued Playgirl and won a settlement and from then on all "Guys Next Door" models had to sign a release before publication.” deepdiver39
