3. Gay Porn Classics: The Idol

   Today, nearly a decade after its theatrical release, Tom DeSimone's The Idol  remains as fresh and sensuous as ever, arguably the best piece of gay erotica ever filmed. The classic Coming Out story, the picture begins with a black and white image of a vibrant all-American adolescent. Gradually, the camera pans back to reveal that it is a news photo under the headline "College Athlete Dies in Auto Accident". A blond bicyclist picks up the newspaper from the dusty road and begins to reminisce about the loss. There are many reasons for The Idol's enduring popularity. First of all, it is so honestly written and directed that virtually any gay male can relate to it. Second, because of its honesty and the remarkable presence of its star, the sexual encounters it records are infinitely more erotic than most of the impersonal couplings in all too many of today's videos. Finally, such care has been lavished on the casting, the cinematography, the editing, and the production values that The Idol emerges as something to touch the mind and the heart without in any way ignoring the gonads. 
   Shamelessly romantic, the film is seen basically through the eyes of Terry, the boy on the bike (nicely played in low-key style by Mark Bitler), who proves to be a consummate voyeur in the hero worship of his idol, Gary (portrayed by Kevin Redding in his only film
   appearance ever, and what a pity that is, for he is facially, physically, and genitally
   breathtaking). The film begins at his funeral, and is neatly divided into five flashbacks, each of which realistically represents a step in his coming out: a solo masturbation sequence on the front seat of his car when his girlfriend leaves him hot-rocked in a lovers' lane; tentative experimentation in the school shower with three of his buddies, in
   which he remains strictly trade; a massage session with his coach, in which he kisses a man for the first time; a poolside encounter with his cousin, in which he cautiously experiments with oral sex (after smoking a joint), progresses to active anal sex, and eventually throws his legs in the air to whisper "Let me see what it feels like"; and finally, the culminting interlude with Terry, in which he reveals the ardor, commitment, and versatility of sexual maturity.
   The Idol is a must for any gay video library. There is not a false moment in the entire work, either dramatically or erotically, and if the final fadeout reminds you a bit of the ending of Maytime , who says you can't cry and come at the same time?

4. SCHOOL DAZE featuring Scott Pryor, Rob Schott, and Tom DeLuc

   Features pic highights from the 1981 film by Fox Studios, SCHOOL DAZE, produced by Frank Coletti.  The curly-haired blonde dude in the window (waiting for his secret guest) was dubbed Scott Pryor and the black haired dude is Rob Schott.  This film contains one of the best cocksuking scenes I've yet to see in vintage or 21th century edge!  I've included the one minute video, with Rob Schott super-sucking Scott Pryor. (Some heralded it as the mother of all cum-eating scenes in gay cinema).  Muscleman Tom DeLuc's ass is de-luscious, even as I've included those pic-posts to boot in the album. Do enjoy!

12. Honcho Magazine, January 1986 - remastered full magazine

    This is a painstakingly remastered full issue, January 1986, of Honcho Magazine that I manually scanned and re-mastered the images as best as I could - VERY old.... 
    Scanning one page of the magazine at a time, these are the processes I went through:
    - Color warmth and lighting correction applied
    - Centerfolds, both single and split, are digitally stitched together, with the original pages left intact
    - Inserted photos are enhanced with their own separate display pages (when feasible)
    - Very high resolution 600dpi individual scans
    - Applied filters (Unsharp Mask, De-screening, Dust Removal) for improved image quality
    - All edges cleanly trimmed, and any marks or seams touched-up by hand in Photoshop (when feasible)
    I did not zip this into a single upload file, because it is still way too large, and everything is processed at a high resolution of 600dpi and I did not want to reduce the resolution.  So all the pages of the entire magazine - even the ads - are here, as well as some enlargements of the embedded smaller photos.  Enjoy 🙂 🙂

22. Ritter Brothers

    The Ritter Brothers were a pair of New York area bodybuilders who both posed nude and photographed others that way between about 1932 and 1945.
    In the 1930's, Fred and William Ritter, brothers who lived in Astoria, Long Island, New York, advertised physique photographs in fitness magazines like Strength and Health.
    In the closets of their house, they shot images of themselves and the men they recruited from local gyms. They were physique models & photographers from the 1930's. They would photograph models they picked up in local gyms and brought home for photo sessions, themselves together, themselves separately, and in various combination with those aforementioned models.
