He has worked with fashion photographer Steven Klein on numerous occasions, including W and Vogue Hommes Japan, the latter of which he graced the cover. He became the face of Ralph Lauren Rugby, Y-3, Doho, Brooks Brothers and American Eagle. His career really soared when he opened Roberto Cavalli during the Spring/Summer 2010 season. Prior to modeling, Koning served in the Army Reserve for 6 years and was deployed to Iraq from October 2005 to October 2006. In 2009, Koning made his modeling debut for "Ralph Lauren" Rugby Fall/Winter campaign. In just his first year in the industry, Koning he has quickly become one of top in-demand models. He garnered heightened attention after he opened the S/S 2010 "Roberto Cavalli" men's show. More projects soon followed including ad campaigns for "American Eagle", "Doho", and "Husky", among others. Aside from modeling, Koning excelled at tennis, has been an active snowboarder all his life, and a successful musician. He writes instrumental pieces for movies and performs regularly at Bitter End and Ella Lounge in NYC.
