Conor Allyn

Short Biography: Conor Allyn is a gifted young director, screenwriter and producer who created and oversaw the biggest film project in the history of Indonesia. He literally grew up on film sets, TV studios and the media industry in the US, Latin America and Southeast Asia. By the age of 24, Conor had written and produced 3 highly successful feature films and served as director on 2 Hollywood-style war epics. Full Biography: Conor's award-winning 2009 smash hit "Red And White" experienced record international sales and box office attendance for films of this type in Europe and Asia. Conor then served as a director of the "Red And White" sequels, "Blood Of Eagles" (which rebroke the previous film's box office records in September 2010), and the upcoming "Hearts Of Freedom" (due out in June 2011). Son and creative partner of Rob Allyn, Conor is a gifted young film director, writer and producer who literally grew up on film sets, TV studios and the media industry in the US, Latin America and Southeast Asia. By the age of 24, Conor had written and produced three feature films, including the award-winning box office smash RED AND WHITE, the biggest and most successful film in the history of Indonesia, which has already experienced record international sales in Europe and Asia. He served as a director of both film sequels, BLOOD OF EAGLES (releases September 2010) and HEARTS OF FREEDOM (due out January2011). Conor presented his films at the LA Asia Pacific Film Festival at the Directors Guild Theater in Hollywood, and has taken the film to festivals and markets in Pusan, Berlin, Santa Monica and Cannes, where his first film already has been sold to the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. While still a student at Georgetown, Conor began researching, reading first-hand battle accounts and writing the screenplay for the trilogy of epic feature-length, 35-millimeter war dramas that he would later help direct, write and produce. That two-year, three-film epic became the biggest film project in Indonesia?s history, as Conor helped manage an all-star international cast and crew from Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Thailand, Australia, the U.S. and China. Shot on land, air and sea in the jungles, mountains, coasts, caves, army bases, airfield, oceans and colonial cities of Java, Conor led the process from concept to post-production at Oriental Post and Kantana Labs in Bangkok, with a score composed by Indonesia?s finest film composer and performed by the Beijing Philharmonic Orchestra in the People?s Republic of China. He also served as Associate Producer and supervised post-production of HUNGRY IS THE TIGER, an internationally acclaimed feature-film documentary shot in India and Indonesia. TIGER premiered at last year?s Rome Film Festival Asiatic Film Mediale, and was nominated as Best Documentary in the 2009 Asia Pacific Film Festival at Khaoshung, Taiwan. Conor holds a B.A. from Georgetown University, where he concentrated on history, government and screen writing. Conor began his career in the media business first with Allyn & Company in Dallas and then joined Fleishman Hillard, one of the largest communications firms in the world, serving clients like AT&T and the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). He has created, written, produced and directed nationwide TV ads, participated in media consulting, and handled research and writing duties for a leading US Senator and presidential candidate, two Mexican presidents, the Indonesian Farmers Union, the Association of Traditional Markets and leading political parties in Latin America and Asia. He spent a summer modeling in New York, appearing in the pages of COSMOPOLITAN and MEN?S HEALTH magazines. He also plays a brief cameo role as the Dutch Lieutenant Van Damme in the upcoming HEARTS OF FREEDOM.
