MY! this topic sure gets me going! and has given me a great deal of personal issues.

 

I'm a circumcised guy and been, always and lately the more, uncomfortable and unsatisfied with the results. Lately more because i had issues down there and had to visit a urologist. I was cut at 4, i remember it vaguely but i had no saying or no idea of what it meant, was just cutting a flap of skin that wouldnt let me pee. But with time and puberty that area got much more important... you guys surely now! And those rosy tender inches of skin the most important i'd say. Besides having what i myself find a not so nice looking scar, uneven, the skin is exposed all the time in an area where it is not supposed to. It gets leathery, toughened, dry and much less sensitive. Some could say i should use creams, but hey, why should i bother with yet another metrosexual aspect when i didnt ask for it?

 

Some guys say they like the looks... well, i think the functional aspect, the feel the owner has is much more important, priomordial.

Some others claim its healthier, since cleaner... its easier to clean, but in my country 98% or so of guys are uncut (showering is a daily habit too, unless you are a teenager) and i've rarely been with a guy that smells or tastes badly there. Proof!

 

Truth is soap works the same on cut or uncut guys.

 

When i visited my urologist months ago i was worried because i had a pustule (yes, ugly! like one of acne down there) and he told me it was unusual, that he had seen it happen more on the scrotum but because the skin in my frenum had been transformed due to circumcision... Yes, TRANSFORMED. Where it was supposed to be a mucous membrane now it was regular skin, hence a scar. So it would behave differently. I felt someone had decided over the integrity of my body without my consent, call it mutilation or the name you want. But it's troubling at times.

 

Sex. Im great at topping and I love doing it, but it often bores me quickly because i dont feel a great deal. When receiving oral i have to tell them to bite some and suck on it a bit harshly, else it wont work. And a handjob... emmm, just let me do it myself. No avail.

So yes, its kind of frustrating not feeling what i can tell other uncut guys feel when i touch or lick them there.

 

So im pro whole-person. As with any other medical aspect. Thankfully docs now are more in a trend of non interventionism, they'll try many other procedures before taking your tonsils or foreskin. Many guys with phimosis are spared now, fortunately. Many USA newborns are not being cut just for prevention or tradition. I think it should be left to them to decide, wether they want to be circumcised or keeping their skin, or having a partial circumcision which is less impactful to the membranes. It is a very delicate and sensitive place... man, its your dick! Not your earlobe. No wonder many religions mingle and bother down there...

 

I recommend all my friends in couples dedicated to having kids that they don't commit this arcaic procedure on their boys and those to come unless it's provenly necessary and unavoidable. Let them decide when of age and knowing what it may involve. Not all skins heal and scar the same.

I am uncut and really glad about it and I thought that maybe some cut guys just feel like you do. My girlfriend wants to circumcise our kid as well if we will ever have some but I really don't. I will tell her about your story and maybe she will change her opinion. ;)

I am cut. And out of all the guys I've hooked up with only one was ever uncut, personally I just think cut looks better. And I'm glad that I was circumcised as a child, it's unfortunate that some people who have been circumcised wish they hadn't been. But I for one am glad and wouldn't have it any other way.

 

The thing about waiting for the kids to decide is, I dont' think if given the choice anyone would go for it. I am grateful it was done to me when I wouldn't remember it. Because I love having a cut dick but at the same time I can't imagine going for the procedure when I could make the conscious decision.

I wouldn't agree on this. There are guys who are glad to be circumcised and I think most of them would do it again - even in their age. You wouldn't do it now if you were uncut?

I meant that I would choose to be cut...but the process of getting circumcised would make me hesitant to do it, meaning I want to have a cut dick without experiencing the cutting, so that's why I'm glad it was done when I wouldn't be conscious of it. If that makes sense

It's quite a philosophical issue about others deciding over us or we taking our choices. I just wanted to pinpoint that not all circed guys are happy with it or fully satisfied, so it's not a choice that should be taken from the individual.

Over the years I've handled a decent sample size of both varieties and it makes no difference to me.

I feel as long as the guy has good hygiene it really doesn't matter. Uncut cocks can get kinda funky if not cleaned very well. As someone who is circumcised, I find guys who aren't to be a little more exotic and that is a good thing in my book.
