Video Download

Have you ever been cruising a free video site and come across a particularly hot video you wished you could download? Well, now you can.  If you're using Chrome you can add a video download app that will allow you to download any video from any site. There are a wide variety of video down loaders and the best part is they are all FREE!  To find them just go to "customize and control Google Chrome", "settings" and "extensions". At the bottom of the extensions page click on "get more extensions" and that will take you to the Chrome Store. 

I should mention that if video down loading isn't your thing there is world full of apps that you might like to check out from almost any topic under sun.

The chrome extension I use for video download is FVD. It's very user friendly. You start the video you want to download then click an icon. The icon is placed on your task bar in the upper right hand corner. So far I've only down loaded videos from free video sites and have found you cannot down load videos from "video on demand" sites where you purchase viewing time. Once the down load begins you can navigate away from the site and the down load will continue.

I use Video Download Professional which also can be obtained from the Chrome Store. It too places and Icon on the task bar.  For Internet Explorer I use Ant.com Video Downloader since Internet Explorer is my default browser.

I still have Internet Explorer but Chrome is now my default. I find it easier, at times, to use than Internet Explorer but there a few games sites, such as POGO, that no longer supports Java. I won't give up Internet Explorer but I do like Chrome.

I had to check my Chrome extensions and it turns out I use FVD as well.  

I actually don't download videos from tube sites, mainly because I find torrenting to be much easier and with much higher quality.
