I thought I remembered something like this many years ago.

Are 14 year olds really able to form this type of malice intent?

Looking at it another away, couldn't you argue this is closer to assisted suicide?

I have yet to read the full text. I thought it’d be a news article but it’s the vanity fair. 🤷‍♂️😅

For me it’s hard to imagine how deep you have to be in your depression to come up with that strange setup. I never understand why these people don’t just go and seek help. 😶

Even if this is different but it reminds me of a story in Germany where a guy created an online personality to find out if his girlfriend was about to leave him. Eventually he made the woman fall in love with his online self and made her leave his real self. It ended up with his real self killing the woman. Why not just put his online self that made her fall in love with him back to his real self? 😐

Can’t find the news article anymore as with the keywords I always get the Pistorius case. (The woman was murdered in her bathtub.)

But I assume he got sentenced for murder, so no chance for his online self anymore. 🤷‍♂️
