Cascada is a German dance music act. Created in 2004, Cascada consists of vocalist and face of the group Natalie Horler and DJs/producers DJ Manian and DJ Yanou. Cascada is listed as the third most successful German act of the 21st century.

Creature From The Black Lagoon (this has the potential to go under Camp as well). In 2009 theme park Universal Studios Hollywood needed a show to replace Fear Factor Live. As one of the largest and longest existing film studios in the world Universal had a plethora of properties to chose from. They chose Creature From The Black Lagoon. And they chose to make a musical. Creature from the Black Lagoon: The Musical debuted on July 1, 2009. It closed on March 9, 2010, a little over eight months later. Below is both the show and a video covering the creation and short life of this oddity of theme park entertainment. I will give them props for taking a risk and putting actual money and effort behind it (maybe not a lot of either but they did put some so it counts).

Désenchantée, translatable to either disenchanted or disappointed, is a song by Mylène Farmer. Désenchantée was released on March 18, 1991 as the first single from Farmer's third studio album. The song is Farmer's biggest hit, topping the French singles chart for nine consecutive weeks, charting within the top forty in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, and reached number 7 on the European Hot 100 and number 8 on the European Airplay Top 50.

The video for Désenchantée is effectively a short film. The actual video has a runtime of 10:12 but I was only able to find this version which has a runtime of 9 minutes. The video does not appear to be uploaded officially, with there being multiple live performances of the song throughout the years instead. Or it is simply region locked.

 

Désenchantée has been covered by multiple artists, the most notable cover being released in 2002 by Kate Ryan. While Ryan's cover performed worse in France, reaching number 12, it was a significantly bigger hit across Europe reaching the top ten in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, and Sweden.

In the United States, D'Eux was released under the title The French Album. D'Eux was preceded by the international hit Pour que tu m'aimes encore, which became the first French-language song to enter the top ten in the United Kingdom. D'Eux is the best-selling French-language album of all time with over 12 million units sold worldwide.
