  3. Christian Hogue is an American model born on January 25th, 1992. He was born in Medford, Oregon, USA, and he pursued a modeling career for as long as he can remember. Before he got into the modeling industry, Hogue did many things including professional gymnastics and even football. It seems that he has always been dead set on physical activities which have shaped his body into the chiseled hotness that it is today. At the young age of 15, his mother encouraged him to pursue a modeling career because of how handsome he was growing out to be. Her wishes came true as Christian is associated with many massive brand names these days He works as a model all over the world, from the far east in Australia, to the London middle, and of course, all the way back to his home country of the United States of America. He has worked with brands such as Abercrombie, Armani, and even Nike! While he has had many opportunities to prove himself on the modeling scene, one gig in particular was a dream come true for him. He got to model for a fragrance made by Versace. The fragrance was Dylan Blue pour Femme and he absolutely loved that experience. He also travels to more exotic destinations when he has to commit to a photoshoot. One of the best places he has traveled to would be Rio in Brazil. He’s thankful for all the opportunities he gets as he loves traveling and meeting new people all the time during his photoshoots. But his looks alone weren’t the only thing to sway all the people who have gone ahead and worked with him over the years. It’s also his character which has a lot of positivity and confidence around it that makes the difference. When he’s not modeling, Christian is taking care of his physique. He gets up early in the morning and hits the gym early on for an hour or two before having lunch. After that, he enjoys living the free life of a motorcyclist. He owns 6 motorcycles, so it’s a really big passion of his which he is fond of. And it really goes with his style. He likes to wear casual clothes, something like Levi’s comes to mind when he is wondering what to put on. He has over 733k followers on his Instagram and over 900 posts. 6. Douglas was born Douglas Juleff, in Detroit, 1919. After serving in the armed forces he took up photography specializing in the male figure. His work was published in dozens of fitness and bodybuilding magazines of the time. He kept correspondant with many artists around the world and collected and traded works of the male nude. His knowledge of photography was expansive. Douglas spent his entire life in Detroit and died in 1999. Douglas was a nationally known and highly respected photographer from the late 1940s until the late 1950s. He is considered to be one of the finest printers and innovators of male figurative photography in the world. His prints are highly valued and collected, known for their delicately rich dark tones and superb lighting. In the late 1950s, the photographer was involved in a famous censorship battle held in Detroit that destroyed his career and the lives of many of his models. The Detroit police ransacked his house, confiscating and burning almost all of the photographer’s negatives and prints. The incident left Douglas in shambles and he never fully recovered. In the 1950s images of the male nude were banned under the law.

  8. Brock Magnum If there's any guy I'd say I'm crazy over, it'll be this guy. Brock is like everything I wanted in a man -- from the handsome face, the perfect build (muscular but not excessively so), the bubble butt, and to what I would say is one of my favourite cocks ever. Thick, veiny, and it looks really stiff when erect. *drools* He's also hairy in all the right places and (thankfully for me) he kept the tattoos and piercings to a minimum. So yeah, I love this guy! Brock Magnum has only done a few jerk off videos with Legend Men and the closest he did to a scene with another guy was the one where he got a massage that eventually led to a handjob (and him shooting a nice amount of thick, hot cum.) He hasn't done anything in porn for a long time until he resurfaced last February, again with Legend Men. I'll share those as well once I get my hands on them. 😉 Stats Sign: Aries Height: 5' 10" / 177.8 cm Weight: 176 lbs. / 80.0 kg Penis Length: 7.5 inches / 19.1 cm Girth: 6.5 inches / 16.5 cm

  17. A contemporary of early Beefcake photographers like Mizer and Douglas, Kovert brought a quirky twist to his work. 22. Shredded Male Body Alert Franco Barrera in pics by Jeremy Holden Find shredded male body inspo! Click here to find Shredded Male Body Alert: Franco Barrera in pics by Jeremy Holden. Franco Barrera is an Argentinian male model represented by DHR Models agency, who has been working in the Asia market for a several time. This time comes with a wonderful work by photographer Jeremy Holden in Bali Indonesia. They get together in this stunning summer weather, beautiful backgrounds we can see two waterfalls locations that we adore. As we mentioned before, Asian market loves Argentine and Brazilians, there’s a huge market for hispanics in the modeling world. Get the body shredded as Franco has it Successful shredding is all about optimizing your body’s ability to burn fat while preserves your muscle-building gains. Franco has a intense gym rutine, and also we can speak about his pure genes. y engaging a greater number of muscle groups than single-joint movements, multijoint exercises allow you to lift far heavier loads, which raises your metabolism both during and after your workout. When you use heavier weights, you’re telling your body to build or retain muscle mass. Using lighter weight for higher reps, on the other hand, sends an endurance signal to your body that can make it difficult to keep all of your hard-earned muscle. Bali is an aphrodisiac paradise Is not the first time we post beautiful articles from photographers in Bali. But Jeremy and Franco did a very good job. Those stunning waterfall helps to make Franco a completely hunk. Bali is an island and province of Indonesia with the biggest Hindu population. Popular tourist destination, which has seen a significant rise in tourists since the 1980s. Franco try to shared beautiful positive content over his Instagram, I really like this: “Mind is a wonderful force inherent in the Self. That which arises in this body as ‘I’ is the mind. When the subtle mind emerges through the brain and the senses, the gross names and forms are cognized. When it remains in the Heart names and forms disappear… If the mind remains in the Heart, the ‘I’ or the ego which is the source of all thoughts will go, and the Self, the Real, Eternal ‘I’ alone will shine. Where there is not the slightest trace of the ego, there is the Self”. Although Franco is modeling in swim trunks and underwear, those powerful black and white pics from Holden are strongest pics ever seen, make this focused point on the shredded body that Franco possess.

  23. We Want More of Joan Crisol & Alex Bueno – Exclusive Interview They did it again, in a private raw portrait with Spanish Alex Bueno, the photographer–base in Madrid–talks in exclusive. Joan Crisol experience more than 15 years in portrait/fashion photography we have published so much articles about his work. One was a very special featuring with Alex Bueno a Spanish provocateur Instagrammer muscle adonis with 212K followers. We find the perfect moment to show you how’s the mind of a creative thinker, since his experience working with human body. Until his work with such big brands like ES Collection, Addicted, Modus Vivendi and more. Let’s read this exclusive interview with Joan: How was your experience working with Alex Bueno? As always very funny, Alex is just as crazy as me, and we love to get together and try to see what comes up. This session was not prepared at all (actually I usually prepare very little…) we stayed one morning, rented a car and went to a park in the city of Madrid. Making the pictures we were passing by people cycling every minute … hehe. What was your inspiration to go into the forest with Alex? We had several study sessions and we both wanted to change a bit. This was the outdoor option closest to Madrid, where everyone goes to exercise. After that, it is already allowing us to take both. I like that everything comes up naturally, in this sense I do not like for example to ask my models to undress. If they are comfortable and they want it, they will tell me, they already know what kind of photography I do. Joan is a punky photographer What are your next projects? I never know what I’m going to do next session. I’m the most punky photographer you can meet. I’m obsessed that everything has to be as organic as possible, and that only happens when I’m alone with the boy or girl. So I usually collect several ideas and I finish deciding in the same study. Yes, I always go with several ideas …just in case. With whom would you like to work, some model/influencer/celebrity that likes to work very soon? I love Nyle DiMarco! I think he has an incredible killer look and his smile melts me down., I’d love to work together! So please Nyle pay attention to this! For you Joan, what is the Human Male Form? It’s beauty, strength, sensuality, light, sweat, darkness, attraction… It is everything… That’s why I decided to dedicate to look every day in my life. I can’t feel more lucky and happier in my work. What advice can you give to the guys who want to work with you? Not because guys has good abs I’m going to run to ask him to take pictures. “The best model is the one that stops worrying about how his body will come out and relaxes and enjoys the work.” What has been your worst experience in photography? I have never talked about this, but surely my worst experience was when I fought with ES Collection and Addicted. I started with the brand almost since its inception and I became very involved and after many years I think we managed to break out and do something totally amazing underwear. But one day my partner then had a great conflict with the management of the brands and I got in the middle to defend it and in the end I decided not to work with them again. The truth is that I was very sad, because they were working together for many years and in reality nothing happened to me… but that’s the way life is… What has been your best experience in photography? “Every time I have someone in front of my goal and suddenly I am aware that he is going to let go and that we are going to create “together” I feel the happiest person in the universe.” You can not imagine how beautiful and special it can be. Also, right now I am involved in projects with brands that are relying heavily on me as a long-term project, especially Modus Vivendi and Code22, and that makes me feel very excited. My life is to shoot photos. What camera do you use for work? I’m using a camera Canon 5DS R, for my needs, and give me good quality, lens I use 16%35, 24/70 and my favorite 70/200 and lights Profoto. You say you’re very punky, how is working with Joan Crisol? Campaigns like Modus Vivendi, ES Collection that you have done, have been the best that those brands can have, how was your experience? Working for companies that are so big and that trust you so much is the best! Let’s see … I’ve been around for many years, I’ve been working in professional photography for almost 19 years, and it’s true that every day you learn something new. Actually this punk feeling is the evolution of the security that I have in myself. It’s the good thing about having already screwed up everything in life, I can afford the luxury of knowing that you DO NOT have to do it and enjoy it in a more organic way. Being a punk is really letting go without fear. Apart from this, I think that it is very good and healthy that even in large productions, our heads go a little and we let ourselves go, that is, let’s not fool ourselves, always taking into account the final value of the photo. By the way, leaving aside what I just said, I’m going to continue shitting for many years, is part of the grace of this office. Learning from the good and the bad. I’m more human than anyone. Who inspires Joan Crisol? Is there a book, movie, artist, actor, character that makes you vibrate with pleasure when you see his artistic work? I am an absolute consumer of all kinds of art. In photography my gods are Steven Meisel, Richar Avedon and Cecil Beaton. I’m obsessed with street art: Banksy, Kaws, Hirts, Murakami, Pejac. My favorite comic artist, which I think we eat visually everywhere, is Moebius, and I owe my existential vision to AKIRA of Otomo. I’m a little Otaku and a little freak… hehe. Joan, what do you think about copying your work? I do NOT mention “photographers” but you know that it is very very common for your work to be copied. Some who feel very offended, others who do not care, others who love you and how you feel about it. Yes, I copied a few…hehe… there are times that bothers a little, because I know photographers who have offered themselves for free to my models and they have searched and they have shot them in the same studio and even with the same props …God… all a little weird. Really, and this I swear, I do not think it’s bad that we have reference to other colleagues of trade, I can even see it as a nice tribute …but sometimes I get a bit of embarrassment from others …no need! If precisely I am the photographer from Madrid who shares the most with his colleagues: they write to me and they ask me and I tell them everything, I do not have any kind of secret. Actually I think the only thing that makes us different is our eye, everything else you find in studios; lights, touch-ups, plugins, etc. Many say that with the smart phones in the future, many works will disappear, you think that the photography disappears in the future? The truth is that I have more work than ever. Fifteen years ago I lived for Zero Magazine, and disappeared. Then came Playboy, FHM, Interviu, etc… and they all closed. Now they are brands of underwear and tomorrow God will say. “I do not think we should be afraid of changes, tomorrow will be totally different, but that even motivates me.” You have filmed videos, how has been your experience? Videos at the time I did a lot because I was director of photography of video clips of Undergrounds groups from the scene in Madrid. It was a very fun time, we did crazy things without money …But the production company I worked for closed and since then I have not done anything again. Just one day I encourage myself and come back. All the words you want to share are welcome, what would you say to your fans? Millions of thanks for always being there, I can not feel happier. “And I can assure you that I will continue learning and doing better every day.” Because you do not deserve less. Thank you always!

  32. Vincent WolFang Male 25 years old Knoxville, Tennessee, US Twitter Mayhem #2226691 Model About me I am currently perusing a MFA in Theatre Lighting Design at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. I am new to modeling and am greatly enjoying the experiences that I have been receiving. It would be great to start doing more fashion photography, particularly underwear modeling. I tend to do a bit of traveling to work on shows but I try and find some free time for some shoots. I am also available as a male entertainer for events and clubs. Being a part of the arts, I enjoy the thought of expression and showing one?s self through design. I have been told that I have a great body so I feel no need to hide it but to show it off to those who would like to see it in an artistic manner. It has been a bit of a struggle to deal with the fact that I have hair everywhere and that it is dark and thick. I always thought that my hair was too much and that I needed to get rid of it all. I was rather ashamed to show it off since it seemed that an attractive gay man shouldn?t have hair. Through countless reassurances from friends and lovers I?ve come to realize that my hair is rather beautiful. I came to accept that I have a great natural look that people actually like. It is a bit of a rare look still these days but I hope to become a bit of a role model to those who are hiding their hair and let them know that it can actually be attractive.

My friends persuaded me, and I thought it might help with my confidence. I?ve been going to the gym a lot for the past year. How did you feel when you won the heat? Ecstatic, I couldn?t believe it! It was a huge surge to my confidence, which I?ve had a bit of trouble with in the past. Why do you think people voted for you? I?d like to think that they could see my potential and saw that I really wanted to get through, and hopefully they liked me. What did you do to get votes? I did a photoshoot with a photographer and he put me on his blog. I did a radio interview with Radio Cardiff which was fun. I was constantly pledging on Facebook and Twitter and making sure to post new pictures and information to keep people interested. I went to the university and asked the students if they would vote for me. I also volunteered to do some work for them too. I spoke to clients at work and although I was ill at the beginning of the voting, I asked friends to put up posters that I had printed in the gay clubs around Cardiff. How did it feel when they called your name out as the winner of the competition? I didn?t believe it at first. I started to get quite emotional, because some really close friends were standing near me and I could see them getting emotional. It was a great sense of achievement because I really worked so hard to get here, and a huge burst in confidence What are you planning to do next? Well I?ve got a party at Pulse in Cardiff, I?ve got some interviews coming up and I?m planning to enjoy my Christmas. I?m going to give money to Terrence Higgins Trust like I promised and do some volunteer work for them. I just want to make sure to work really hard at every opportunity What?s the best thing about being Mr Gay UK Well it?s a bit early to say at the moment, but it?s just made me feel like a new person, like this could be a new chapter in my life, with new opportunities and new doors opening for me. It?s like having all my Christmases come at once. I can?t wait to see what there is to come Apart from winning, what has been the best part of the contest Wow, so much. The most enjoyable past was the photo-shoot I think and getting to meet the other finalists. It?s been really exciting travelling about and meeting cool people. Of course going on Loose Women was really fun and seeing simply red and the Ladies. Having Bet Lynch sprawled out over me was fun ? not your average Friday afternoon

If you are interested in more details, please visit www.norcalbodz.com As a youngster, when I was about 14, I remember saying myself: Those bodybuilders are disgusting. After a few years I joined the community of the bodybuilding world. When I first began to work with free weights lifting, I was 15. There was no gym or fitness in my small town so I had to create the equipment on my own. I used the iron bar, put it into the barrel of concrete on the both sides and I had a barbell. I just wanted to build stronger pecs and arms. I didnt know anything about nutrition, exercises and since I was living in a small town, I had nobody who would give me any advice. First step was moving to a bigger city for high school. I used to live in a student house and my ways were every day the same. Dorms, school, dorms, gym, dorms. Since no one gave me any advice I remember I was doing 36 sets of biceps exercises. This time I started to ask about teen bodybuilding shows, asked for advices, tips, but nothing. For the 2nd year of high school I moved to the capital city Prague and joined the real bodybuilding club with qualified trainers and many competitors. This was the breaking point, I was always listening to all the different opinions, and advice from all the people but I always picked up what I liked, so this was the way I build the collection of my knowledge. At 17 I did my first show, it was teen division and I got 6th on the Championship of Bohemia. One week later I got 9th on the Championship of the Czech Republic. This wasn't the best result for me, but since I am fighter and never give up, this gave me more motivation and more fire. This was in 2004. 2005 was a magic year for me because I met teen bodybuilding star Jiri Borkovec, who has also been my best friend for many years. After a few meetings I realized that he is very smart and really can help me out with bodybuilding. I began to follow his advice and my body responded greatly. Jiri also showed me the way how to promote myself, how to keep the correct professional attitude in this sport. In this same year I was also competing, but in junior division, and since I was the youngest in this category against 21 years old guys, I got kicked ass. I got 6th on the Championship of Bohemia and 7th on the Championship of Czech Republic. 2006 was the year of graduation exams on my high school so I decided not to compete this year and fully focus on volume preparation. I knew I had to gain more mass on my weaker parts so I got more and more symmetrical. This worked well and in 2007 I got 2nd in the junior heaviest class on the Championship of Bohemia and 3rd on the Championship of the Czech Republic. I didn't agree with this result since I was best prepared competitor on my category, but judges saw it another way. As I already mentioned, I never give up, so this result told me that I have to work harder, keep myself to a stricter diet, be more serious. I was thinking about the next show and then my friend Jiri Borkovec won the biggest American show Muscle Mania Universe. Yes, I said to myself: If he could, you also can. So the year 2008 was again gaining preparation because I wanted to present myself in the best shape of my life. And now we are coming to the presence. In June 2009 I was in the best shape of my life. I presented myself as the best prepared competitor on stage with perfect posing and presentation and I achieved the best results.

Born and raised in the Madison, Wisconsin area he grew up working on farms, riding horses, racing dirt bikes, snowboarding, wakeboarding, wrestling, playing football, just about every other sport imaginable and going to bonfire parties where he freestyled rapped for his friends. He enjoyed every creative aspect of school from art, Engilsh, shop class and chorus. He lettered four times in wrestling and was captain of his wrestling team his senior year. Nick went to college after graduating high school and continued his wrestling career for a year. He needed a change and joined the Air Force for a four-year-tour. He passed all the tests to become Special Forces and became an Air Force Marksman but decided to keep his job as a crew chief on the KC-135 so he could continue college. In 2005 he left the Air Force, packed up all of his belongings and drove to California, never being there or knowing anyone out there. He drove straight down Beach Boulevard to the ocean, got out of his truck, picked up a newspaper and started to look for somewhere to live and work. He planned on living in Orange County and driving to Los Angeles for acting and modeling auditions but the traffic was to much and he made the move Hollywood shortly after. While finishing college he bartended, was a personal trainer and stripped to pay the bills. During Nick's last year of college he started his company ExplicitStrippers.com, stripped for The Girls Next Door at the Playboy mansion and performed for the Hollywood Men. He graduated college in '07 with an English major that focused on Creative Writing and continued to take acting, improv and cold reading classes for the next 2 1/2 years. In 2008 he was on the cover of Men's Health UK. In 2009 he took second in the the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World?s as a blue belt and 3rd in 2011 as a purple belt. He made the switch from a stripper to a gigolo in 2009 when Garren James with CowboysForAngels.com recruited him. In 2010 he was approached to star in a Showtime series called Gigolos. Currently he has filmed 2 seasons and the show is a huge success. He has been working on his album, releasing his music and doing live performances and appearances. You can catch his first big live performance on Season 2 Episode 2. Nick stays busy, to say the least, promotes healthy lifestyles and positivity. He really enjoys his new hit website that focuses on sex and relationship advice NickHawkSexpert.com and plans on getting his masters in Psychology in the future. He enjoys his Boston Terrier Eyas, his wolf, yes wolf, Talon, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA, body building, working on his music, riding his motorcycle, traveling the world, snowboarding and surfing. But he will always have more enjoyment, fulfillment and satisfaction entertaining and will always be hustling... 37. http://www.facebook.com/joel.rush.94 Joel Rush, born in 1982, in Tampa, Florida, is an American model. Rush is perhaps known as one of the contestants competing on ABC's reality series, "True Beauty." He was proclaimed runner up on the show. Prior to modeling, Rush worked in software sales. He is just as cool as his name makes him sound. Living in Tampa, he is a wild party-guy who confessed he married his wife because she is "as hot as me, so she can relate to what I go through." Rush says he already acts like a celebrity so it is only a matter of time before he is truly famous. Though he leads a fairly humdrum life, he is anything but boring. Cocky as hell, he knows he looks good and insists on surrounding himself with only the hottest people. The self-proclaimed "Crown Prince of Cool" says his workout regiment is all about "looking great without his clothes on." Rush has a heart and will tear up if you ask him about his grandpa, but that sentimental side is a rare sight for the guy who is the loudest, most conceited man at any party. ========== http://twitter.com/thejoelrush ================ I have hesitated to make a post about Joel Rush for a long time because I am divided about him. Some people will find Joel totally sexy and hot, possessing that pure male macho raw appeal and others will find him to be an ?ugly? man because of his personality. So purely for his amazing physique I am including him in this blog ? and by doing so I probably break my own rule of only posting about stunning guys who have also an inner beauty ... well, there has to be one exception! If you like them big and loud then you must love Joel! The American model Joel was born in 1982 in Kokomo, Indiana and is currently living on both coasts in New York City and Los Angeles. Joel is from humble beginnings and was raised extremely well being taught to always reach for the stars while never forgetting where you come from. He attended college and lived in Indianapolis, IN for 7 years after high school then moved south to Florida to accept a position with a specialty software firm. Joel has been involved in modelling and acting since 2001 when he was first scouted by a photographer when he played college football from 99 to 03 for the Butler University Bulldogs. After graduation while working as a software professional in the healthcare industry Joel took various modelling assignments knowing one day that he would pursue this career full time. Joel had his first independent film ?Exit 727? an Insubordinate Productions project which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival. Joel Rush is just as cool as his name makes him sound. He is a wild party-guy who confessed he married his wife because she is "as hot as me, so she can relate to what I go through." Joel says he already acts like a celebrity so it is only a matter of time before he is truly famous. Though he leads a fairly humdrum life, Joel is anything but boring. Cocky as hell, he knows he looks good and insists on surrounding himself with only the hottest people. The self-proclaimed "Crown Prince of Cool" says his workout regiment is all about "looking great naked." His aggressive confidence and cockiness probably cost him the win of the reality show True Beauty on ABC (produced by Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks) but he was runner up, beating all the other male contestants. As an example of his arrogance Joel told People magazine that ?for someone as good-looking as him to spend time befriending ugly people would be like catching fleas from a dog?. Joel has a heart and will tear up if you ask him about his grandpa, but that sentimental side is a rare sight for the guy who is the loudest, most conceited man at any party. In his free time Joel enjoys playing flag football, training at the gym and playing golf. He also loves to pal around with his French bulldog Teddy.

  38. Francis Brunet Male 24 years old Montreal, Quebec, Canada Mayhem #1652449 Model MM URL: http://www.modelmayhem.com/ francisbrunet About me I am looking for jobs and opportunities in the modeling domain (hence why Im here, lol). I prefer fashion, fitness, swimsuit, underwear modeling and I *don't* shoot nudes. *I am also open for anything video related* I work during the week so a preferred photoshoot schedule for me is during the weekends. I am french but am fluent in English as well. If you are interested in working with me, please contact me by private message here or by email at: [email protected] Thanks and looking forward to work with you! Francis Name: Francis Brunet aka SHIN Age: 24 Weight: 185lbs Height: 5?10? Bicep size: 17? Routine: My routine varies a lot from week to week. I never have an organized schedule because in my opinion strict routines become mundane over time, and your muscles get used to it, which slows down muscle growth massively. A sample routine would look like this ( I always do a warm-up set with half the weight I can lift before): Monday Chest (45- 50 mins): 4 sets incline DB press (8-10 reps) 4 sets flat bench press (8-10 reps) 3 sets machine OR DB flies (10-12 reps) usually do a drop set here to really feel the burn 3 sets bodyweight chest dips until failure Core (15 mins): 4 sets legs raise (here I place a DB between my knees and raise it the highest I can for about 20 reps) 4 sets cable crunches (15-20 reps at high weight) Tuesday Legs (1h): 4 sets back squats (go ass to ground and put a weight where you can do a maximum of 8 reps) 3 sets lunges (8-10 reps) 3 sets leg presses (8-10 reps) 3 sets leg extensions (till failure, heaviest possible? machines usually go up to 300lbs max, pretty light for me now) 3 set calf raises Wednesday Rest Thursday Back (50 mins): 4 set deadlifts (8-10 reps) 3 set lat pulldowns (8-10 reps) 3 set BB rows (8-10 reps)( Dropset , preferably have another bar set up with half the weight right next to you) 3 set close grip seated cable rows (until failure, moderately heavy) Friday Biceps (30 mins): 4 sets 21s 3 sets preacher curls (8-10) supersetted with machine curls (dropset until failure) supersetted with hammer curls (6-8, light) Triceps (30 mins): 4 sets close grip bench press (8-10 reps) 3 sets skullcrushers (8-10 reps) 4 sets pulldowns (usually do a dropset here) Saturday Shoulders (40 mins) 4 sets DB shoulder press (8-10) 4 sets lateral raises (8-10 reps) 3 sets front BB raises (8-10 reps) Core (15 mins) 4 sets Decline BB crunches (15 reps) 4 set situps with weight (15 reps) Sunday Rest Diet: I have no strict diet. I don?t count my cals. However Im used to eating clean foods and I take about 3 whey protein shakes every day (1.5 scoops each). A sample would go like this: Meal 1 -Protein shake as soon as I wake up -6 egg whites -oatmeal Meal 2 -Chicken breast -Salad with various veggies -Greek yogurt Meal 3 -Steak -Brown rice -Broccoli (workout) Meal 4 -Protein shake - Tilapia fillet -Apple Meal 5 -Oatmeal -protein shake -almonds When and why did you get started? I was a very skinny kid when I was younger. I also hit puberty very late (around 17 years). I was however very energetic. I did martial arts, played various sports to release the energy. As soon as I reached a normal height I felt I was then in full possession of my physical potential so I used it. I started lifting weights at home and I actually gained some mass, but it plateaued pretty quickly and I wanted more. This is when I subscribed to the nearest gym. I was working out like an amateur for the first few years, I had no clue how to do the exercises properly and I was on the verge of quitting because the results I got in 3 years were mediocre. One day I sat down early in the morning in front of my screen and said to myself ?Today is the day I?m starting for real?. I read articles on nutrition, searched for popular routines on the internet, typed every one of them on youtube to understand the movements. Later that day, I went to the grocery to buy the foods I had listed from the articles I read. A few months later, I really made significant progress and since then I was set. Achievements so far? Got into fitness modelling. What would be your biggest dream to be able to achieve? I?d love to become a worldwide known fitness model and do that for a living. Do you ever struggle to stick to your diet and eat lots of junk food? My main problem is that I have a small appetite. I have to force myself to eat otherwise I don?t. I?m never really hungry. Eating clean is great in my opinion, it?s healthy and rewarding. Plus, whenever I eat fast food, I feel like I?m slowing down my progress so I don?t. Allot of us out there love a good drink of alcohol from time to time, do you ever drink, if so how often? I do drink, just not a lot? maybe once a week at the most. When I go out I take one or two beers just to say I?m partying like the rest of the group. I don?t enjoy being drunk so it isn?t hard to be reasonable. If you could pick only one supplement what would it be? (Not protein as you can get that from foods easily) Multi vitamins. I only take 2 supplements; that and whey protein. Supplements are a total waste of money. Most don?t really give any results and they are all very expensive. Multi vitamins are just there to make sure your joints stay healthy to avoid injuries. Whey is great to get the extra protein in because it?s hard to reach the quota when you work 9 hours a day. Your favourite food? If I was to pick only one, I?d go with baby back ribs. Om nom nom. If you could pick only 3 different body parts to put on your body from 3 famous people, what would they be and why? Arms of Ulysses WIlliams, legs of Hidetada Yamagashi and Abs of Zyzz because then I would be a very colourful being. Who do you look up to these days and why? I always look up to successful amateur lifters who post on bodybuilding forums. The reason behind that is simple. If you aim for something that you believe is achievable, it will be a much greater inspiration than to aim for something crazy like a pro bodybuilder?s shape. Your mind will keep telling you that you can actually achieve the physique of the amateur bodybuilder, whereas you will get discouraged easily when you look at the pros. Your favourite quote? -Bodybuilding is an art, your body is the canvas, weights are your brush and nutrition is your paint. Your top 3 tips to someone that might be just starting out bodybuilding? -Make sure to read about nutrition. There are countless articles on the web. You need to know how, when and how much to eat. -Take a routine you find on the web (like mine ) and follow it precisely. Check on YouTube to see how to do the movements. That way you will get used to a real workout. -Don?t expect to look like you lift after less than a year, it?s a slow process. What is your favourite motivation picture online and why? There are many but those two really strike an emotion within me. Life is short, so you need to make the most out of it before passing away. I want people to still talk about me years after I?ll pass away. I want to inspire, motivate and give hope to people. Then, I will feel my life had a meaning. Thoughts on Steroids? I understand people who take steroids to compete in pro competitions. They dedicate their life to it and it gives them a chance to make money and live on their terms. However, I?m against them if you are just working out for the looks. You can achieve an aesthetic physique without them, and if you don?t you?re doing something wrong and shouldn?t be taking steroids in the first place, you should instead revise your routine and your diet. 39. Bryan Thomas Male 28 years old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US This would be my blog that I never update :) Mayhem #471190 Model MM URL: http://www.modelmayhem.com/BryanThomas About me My name is Bryan. I am a fitness model, Personal Trainer and life long student. I typically only do paid booked work though my agency or free lanced work with reputable photographers, Clothing companies or magazines. As of now I am ONLY interested in shooting for fitness magazines and photographers who shoot fitness. Please only contact me for serious work. Also please refrain from sending me messages such as "you're really hot..." It will save us all time and paper. Saving the best for last... Support Our Troops! There are young men and women sacrificing their lives for you to be free. Do not EVER take it for granted. Freedom is NOT Free my friends. Chris, Hunk du Jour: So Bryan, how did you get started in the business? Bryan Thomas: It ALMOST started when I was 5 years old. My uncle was a international male model, he worked with all the top agencys (Ford, Wilhelmina just to name a few) and they always needed kids for shoots. Naturally I got a few offers with him being in the biz. Bryan Thomas: BUT! There was a problem... the week prior my dad took me to the circus, and I was so amazed with the job of being a lion tamer. (Ya know, the guy with the small whip cracking the lions in the ass?) I decided from that day that I wanted to be a lion tamer. So to make a long story short I refused to go to NYC to be part of any shoot. Chris: Haha -- so you gave up fashion at the age of 5 to be a lion tamer with the circus! Bryan Thomas: I did! I can remember it clearly, my family was furious with me! But i was 5, so they got over it. Bryan Thomas: So years go by and at the age of 16 I begin to hit the weights. It was good having a male model around as I grew up... I would always see my uncle doing push ups, pull ups, sit ups... always outside, as thats how he maintained his all natural skinny male model physique. Bryan Thomas: I also remember watching him eat.... grapefruit every morning, oatmeal... all the good stuff. I just wanted Lucky Charms, and I remember thinking "Why would anyone NOT want Lucky Charms!?!?" Now looking back I can see why today I live such a healthy lifestyle, and how working out and good nutrition is such a major part in who I am today. Chris: So -- how about your first gig... Terrifying? Exciting? Bryan Thomas: Well this is how I got my start. A friend at the gym said..."You should try fitness modeling!" This was 2 half years ago, and i was not in the shape that I am today. I had a looong way to go. Chris: What were your stats back then? Bryan Thomas: 6' 1", around the same weight but (believe it or not) I did NOT have the abs! I was a built guy but I wasn't in "fitness model shape." Chris: So your friend tells you to try fitness modeling -- what do you do with that advice? Bryan Thomas: [A modeling site] told me that they were interested in me but I needed to work on the body a bit more. They liked my face and said they thought that I had a great personality. Bryan Thomas: I had NO idea that personality had anything to do with a good model, I just thought they were giving me the "Sorry kid, we like ya but..." They told me that they would call me back. Bryan Thomas: I remember feeling pretty hurt at the time, but instead of moping and feeling bad I decided I was going to get in the best shape of my life! I decided that night that I would get my body looking BETTER then the guys I saw on their cover! For the next 6 months I worked my ass off in the gym and cut out all processed foods. I have GREAT genetics in my family so I found how I could tap into that (my Mothers Father was a body builder as well) Bryan Thomas: Finally [the site] tells me "Bryan you went from good to amazing in a few months." I always say yes I did! with a BIG grin! Bryan Thomas: They flew me down for a test shoot with Mike Downs. We did the test and he told me..i am going to put you up on [the site] and we will see how you do. Bryan Thomas: The [website] fans LOVED me for some odd reason!?!? I began to attract a huge fan base very fast. After shooting with [the site] I started to book jobs and get emails from photographers from all over. Bryan Thomas: I shot with Impact Photography (sports and fitness), Bruno Rand in NYC (who is not only a great photographer but a great friend now.) Bryan Thomas: I knew I had fans but he would always tell me..."Bryan you are blowing up man!" I had no idea my pics were all over the net on blogs all over the world. He had to sit me down and show me on the net. So that's how my blog started! Bryan Thomas: I then shot with Troy Phillips for Exercise For Men Only, which was my true goal from the start -- to get in the Mens workout magazines! I was named "Mr. Exercise" January 08 issue of Exercise For Men only. They did a big 3 page article with a giant tri-fold poster of me! After that I would receive emails everyday asking about working out and nutrition... so we set up the Bryan Thomas Fitness group on Yahoo. Chris: What goes through your head the first time you run across yourself in a magazine? Bryan Thomas: I was so proud man. You have no idea. I remember my heart starting to race a bit. I always want to show my work and mags to my #1 fan, my Mother, but she passed away in a sudden tragic death 3 years ago. I do a lot of this in her memory. Bryan Thomas: I was lays her little actor growing up. I would always manage to get myself in the local news paper and she would go nuts for it! Every time I get in something big like a workout mag or even a fashion magazine such as I-D... I get really excited, I then think real fast..cant wait to show my Mom. But then realize I can't, and that always hurts. Bryan Thomas: But I take all that negative stuff and turn it positive. I know she is looking down and I know that she is pulling for me with all this great stuff. I get my fun loving spirit from her, she loved everyone and so do i. Chris: You mentioned being surprised that personality was such a huge part of modeling. Does something as simple as being a nice person give you an edge in the industry? Bryan Thomas: 110% yes! It's what has helped me. I mean, it is a business but we're all just people here going down the same street. If a model is an asshole or if a photographer has a bad rep for whatever reason, it will be known. Bryan Thomas: This is a very small industry (especially NYC), so if you have a bad rep you have a bad rep... people talk! I always send emails to my trusted photographers asking if they think I should shoot with this photographer or not. I refuse to work with bad people. Chris: Have there been folks you've been steered away from? Bryan Thomas: Many! I always look at their work first. Bryan Thomas: I am unsigned to an agency as of now but working with Silver Models, and modeling is a part time gig for me. That enables me to be VERY picky and only take top notch, classy jobs. If that weren't the case I can see how some guys get seduced into the dirty parts of the industry Bryan Thomas: If ya gotta pay your rent ya gotta pay your rent, so that might mean them taking a somewhat sketchy job or shooting with a photographer who is not as talented. Bryan Thomas: I shot with some of the best in the world -- I am picky and I hold out for the best. Rick Day, Troy Phillips -- two shoots that launched me into the modeling world. I just had the cover of Exercise For Men only Abdominals issue! Shot by Troy Phillips, and one of their best-selling issues. Chris: So, summer is coming into focus -- and a lot of the boys are starting to panic about having the beach bod. You're a personal trainer -- what are some of the simple changes folks can make to be in better shape for the summer? Bryan Thomas: For one, folks need to check out my yahoo fitness group! There is a TON of info. I am currently working on a DVD series. It is a workout program for the average Joe, because that is where every fitness model as started out. We were not born like this! Bryan Thomas: I am going to outline how I got this bod and what I do to keep it! If you eat lean you will look lean, and cutting out processed carbs is a BIG one. Get your carbs from fruit (in the morning), oatmeal, yams, and veggies. Bryan Thomas: To really rip fat off you can do cardio in the am on an empty stocumach. (This is what I did for the Abs cover.) A.M. cardio will force your body to use fat for fuel. Drink plenty of water and do 45 minute to 1 hour sessions. After that make your first meal egg whites and oats with honey and fruit. Your metabolism will he going full force thought out the day. Bryan Thomas: I eat small to moderate meals every 2-3 hours. This will turn your body into a calorie burning machine... you wanna burn it, NOT store it. Too many over weight people will starve themselves, thinking not eating anything will help them. Eating clean and often is what will keep you satisfied and lean. If you don't believe me take a look at my pics! :P Bryan Thomas: P.S. This interview has all been done from my bed. Chris: Haha - so the AM workout has been postponed for the readers... what a guy! Enlarge Photo Bryan Thomas: before i go to bed at night I have a protein shake next to my bed, so AS SOON as I wake up I drink! That's another Bryan Thomas trick. Every guy should do that. It gives your body the amino acids it needs fast and will help you make a better decision in the kitchen for breakfast. Bryan Thomas: Next time you're starving I want you (Chris) and all the readers to make a quick observation. See what foods you run for... I have a feeling it will be the quick carbs, such as chips or lucky charms! Your body knows what will give it that quick fix. Instead, grab some fruit and then make a lean source of protein (such as eggs or chicken.) Try it! Chris: So you're a busy physical trainer, have appeared on All-American Guys, been seen all over the internet in fantastic photos by amazing photographers, are appearing in men's fitness magazines... Why do I get the impression you're just getting started? Bryan Thomas: Great question! Well right now I am working on my fan site, it will be a place for fans to come and get solid advice from a person who is living what he preaches. It will also have photos and videos. I am working on a workout DVD series that is being put together from a guy who works with MTV on many of there big projects such as jackass and the BAM show. Bryan Thomas: I am also going to apply to go on the hit tv show American Gladiators. Like I said, I am unsigned to an agency but will be working closely with Silver Models this summer. Hopefully you will see me in such magazines as Men's Health and Muscle and Fitness! Lean natural guys like myself and fitness model Tim Taylor (a good friend of mine) will HOPEFULLY be taking center stage this summer. Such magazines as Muscle and Fitness went the other direction but seems that they are taking a turn for the better! The realistic lean and muscular man. (No offense to the BIG BIG guys but I think it will be a turn for the best.) Chris: The professional life is definitely buzzing -- how does the schedule affect your personal life? Are you seeing anyone? Bryan Thomas: there is a very special someone in my life at the moment. :) We are both very focused on our careers right now. Chris: (Hears the collective "Awww, shucks!" from men and women alike...) Chris: I've already kept you too long, but 5 more rapid-fire Random Hunk Questions?! Chris: What was your nickname in grade school? Bryan Thomas: BrySki Chris: Your favorite guilty pleasure? Bryan Thomas: Godiva!!!! Chris: ...dream vacation spot? Bryan Thomas: Europe! Never been anywhere in europe yet. Chris: Most important thing you look for in romance? Bryan Thomas: Amazing connection...mentally, physically and spiritually. It HAS to all be there, or else I dont want it. Chris: What would you love to read on your next fortune cookie? Bryan Thomas: "You will live a happy fulfilled life." Chris: "In bed." Chris: Bryan, thank you so much!
