I never heard of them before. The recipe I found sounds delicious. The only surprise was ricotta in the dough. Don't worry, one cannot read everything. 🤗 I think there is, Wes. I like these recipes, whose pastry has to stay in the fridge at least overnight. It can also be stored for several days. When I have time, I cut slices from the rolls and bake them. I have already baked a lot. Originally I thought the quantity would last until the end of January (as I was used to), but I didn't expect our two lovely cookie monsters. Besides the biscuits posted on the blog, I have baked our traditional Christmas stollen. On top of that I made a fruit cake, the recipe for which I got from a friend. It was so delicious that nothing was left of it. So I will bake some more trays. Ben and Pat will also contribute. As we will spend the holidays with a bunch of guests, we should be well prepared. I must mention at this point that it is currently safe for us and our guests to meet. For more than 80 days we have not had a new Covid-19 case due to community transmission in Queensland. If we had a situation like most other countries, we would not spend Christmas with anyone outside our household.3 stiffies

i never knew this blog existed until today, Saturday Dec. 5th, 2020!! for years i would start baking the beginning of December, and each day i`d bake 2 or 3 types of cookies, like brown sugar cookies with pecans, sour cream nut rolls, fruit cocktail cookies with coconut to give them a festive look, filbert fingers, chocolate crinkles, sugar cookies decorated with red or green sugar, empire cookies, cream cheese cookies, pecan balls, almond balls, and biscotti. i also made cheesecake tarts, chocolate fudge torte tarts, danish coffee cake shaped into a ring, and mini banana bread. i packed all the goodies in containers and froze them. i haven't baked anything for Christmas in years, for reasons that don't need to be voiced here, but i can assure you it wasn't because i got tired of making them, as i always enjoyed baking at Christmas. something else sucked the fun out of it. it is a real shame too, because everyone suffered from my lack of baking. i still have all my recipes, if there`s an interest. i do not mind sharing them at all, good recipes need to be shared. it saddens me when someone has a good recipe, and would rather take it to their grave than share it. i have never seen the point, because no one will ever be able to enjoy that recipe ever again. with love from Wes!! Hugs!!!2 stiffies
