Doug : I do indeed know what you mean. When you look at the total package, sometimes I apply your father’s maxim that “you don’t look at the mantel while you’re stoking the fire.” For models like Colin Wayne (in my post), the UK’s utterly and impossibly handsome Daniel Osborne, and select others, I’d gladly overlook the ink. But either before stoking the fire or after you finish doing it, your gaze often falls on the mantel. If the quantity of ink would repulse me at that point, then I draw the line.
