This was one of my favorite sections of Playgirl (PG) magazine too. PG was groundbreaking at the time as one of first mainstream magazines offering full male nudity. PG magazine tested how comfortable models and the public were with male nudity after Burt Reynolds' modest exposure centerfold in Cosmopolitan magazine. Almost from the start, PG centerfolds went where no men had gone before in a mainstream magazine and posed fully nude. The Real Men section of PG offered an opportunity for every guy to show off his body. It was fun seeing these everyday guy next door types show us his goods.
