While sorting through some of my files, I ran across this photo that I found on a Pinterest board about a year ago.  When I saw it this time, my immediate impression was that it’s Mecum.  The combination of the hat and the angle of his face make it difficult to be certain, but there are numerous similarities between Mecum and the hunk in the photo:  the nose, full lips, angular jaw with neatly groomed stubble, large pecs and prominent nipples, abs (see photo #2 above), and the pattern of chest hair.  (I tried to check the photographer’s Website, but it no longer exists.)

Thanks, Steve!  I did a Google Images search by his name rather than by image, hoping to find other photos of from the same photoshoot, but I didn’t find any.  Searching on “Alex Mecum yields more hits than “Alexander Mecum” does.

I finally located the photographer’s Website, at least for this project, by searching on “PhoHawk Photo” (the top hits for “PhoHawk” alone just give you lots of photos of the “fauxhawk” hairstyle):

The photos were for a “coffee table” book, “Sundancers: Men of Utah.”  (Mecum is originally from Utah.)  The site warns that the book contains partial nudity, but the Website doesn’t.   The site has a sample of more than a dozen photos taken for the book, but it was difficult to get copies of them without starting the built-in slideshow.  Here are two more of Mecum.  Love those wet white boxers in the second one:

Thanks, Joel. He looks unusually stern and especially hunky in the first photo, but he really has an open, friendly face and a nice smile.
