The dog in the first photo is so adorable

I’d look sad, too, if someone made me wear that unappealing (to say the least) tie!  It’s definitely a gay fashion violation!

One of the most unforgivable things (for me) is the idiotic, degrading  dressing up of animals.  It is unforgivable as the look on the dog's face shows. It is as degrading as getting elephants to stand on tubs or tigers to jump through hoops in circuses.

Sometimes I despair of the stupidity of the human race.

Sorry to go on but I find cruelty to animals in all its forms as utterly disgusting and should not be tolerated.

I now expect some emails telling me to shut up and grow up. It's happened before, so it wont stop me.

You won’t get any grief from me, Doug.  Some research indicates that dogs (and, of course, cats) get agitated or upset by being dressed up in costumes, but the evidence isn’t conclusive.  My dog never seemed to mind wearing his coat during the winter or his raincoat when it was raining.  (He hated rain, and I hated having to dry him off if he got wet!)  He never liked sweaters, though, and would chew off the elastic straps that went around his hind legs.  Maybe dogs, or at least some of them, can sense the utility of a winter coat or raincoat vs. an apparently useless costume — or sweater..

I have to say I have a dog that doesn't have a thick coat, and he is also getting old, so when it is cold and/or wet I do put a coat on him - not as a fashion statement, but for the same reason I put a coat on myself when the weather is cold or wet. To keep warm and dry.

I really like the Men and their Lucky Animals and it is obvious the men and the animals are happy with each other so my argument is mainly with the men (and women) that dress little Fluffy in a hat and little boots because he looks cute. No he doesn't he looks confused and distressed.

OK I'll shut up now - I guess this post hit a raw nerve !

This little doggie looks frightened or unhappy.  If I were in his place, I’d be grinning … in between licking those luscious-looking nipples and several other things.

Reminds me of the time I was in Basingstoke and a guy was sat on the floor with a guitar and a dog like this. He asked me if I had some money and I said "Why should I give you any?"and without even thinking he said "Well, if you don't I will sing to you " which made me laugh. I thought the comment was worth the money I gave him.

I didnt have the nerve to invite him home for coffee. Ah well you win some you lose some.
