Slumdog Millionaire/ Life of PI

I recently saw both films, and highly recommend them, especially "Slumdog Millionaire". It was excellent, and the lead actor Ari Patel, is very handsome! When it first came out in 2008, I never saw it, because I didn't think I would like it, because the dance clips I saw during the previews. Boy was I wrong! It just goes to show you're never too old to learn!

 

I also recommend "12 Years a Slave", but only if you can stomach the brutality, because it's very hard to watch at times, but it was a magnificent film! Well worth viewing!

I have Slumdog Millionaire on DVD and can recommend it as well :)

 

I heard a lot of rumor about Life of Pi. Some were really positive and otheres very negative about it.. I am not sure wether to watch it or not. :lol:

 

But I am thinking about watching 12 years a slave. :)

"12 Years a Slave" is hard to watch but speaks to a truth of American History that most people choose to hide.

I highly recommend it if you are into challenging your consciousness and emotions.

It is Black History Month in the U.S.A. after all.

Life of Pi is pretty good definitely a SHOULD watch. The ending however, requires your own interpretation and perhaps make more sense in the context of the novel rather than the movie.
