In many cases, it is normal for a person to look down when they feel intimidated by the other male, for whatever reason.  No "eye-eo-eye" for many reasons.  If one person is shorter than the other, looking down (as a reflex action from intimidation) normally leads to "you know where".  In this case, the wrestler is probably proud of his body, but does not want anybody really looking at him like he is.  In one respect, if you are going to dress that way, for any reason, get used to people feeling intimidated (as it is desired that the opponent will) and looking down rather than up.  I bet he does not feel phobic when the male competitor grabs him in the initial set-up for the match, or otherwise, but "looks" do upset him.  LOTS of little side issues.
