Another member posted the meme below on the same topic a few weeks ago.  (My apologies to him, but I couldn't find the post so that I could give him credit.)  Looking back on my college years, I went to most of the school's home football and basketball games, but I deeply regret not going to any wrestling matches, swimming and diving meets, or gymnastics meets.  Wrestlers still wore jockstraps in those days, though, as the one in the image below appears to be wearing because he's got a noticeable bulge instead of a visible penis line.  But there were still plenty of muscular arms, legs, and asses to be admired.

Kawika, having experienced CA traffic jams on the Interstate trying to get to SF airport in time for my flight, these bring back nervous memories for me.  😱

Did you Know, I'm embarrassed to state that I've never been to sunny CA ?  And I'm an artist of sorts.  I've been stuck in the GWN (as I refer to the upper Midwest as the Great White North) for most of my life, having returned from cosmo Ann Arbor to my rural hometown area, seven years ago.  (That had to do with family). I dislike it intensely here and would happily move West when the moment presents, even as I understand droves of people are exiting the Cali dream.  Maybe I'd just depend on public transit once I get out there.

Steve.  Living in what most Americans consider the Great White North (aka Canada) which we prefer to just refer to as "We the North", I can relate to the pull of the west, especially Northern California, even though a number of my friends are departing Cali.

The opposite of visiting my parents last home, where the question "What's with all this traffic?" = seeing more than two other cars on the way into town. (I'm not exaggerating.)

I've been in California all of once. What I saw there: the inside of an airport as we raced to catch another flight after experiencing a two hour delay at our prior connection. Not quite as bad as the time I had to fly for work, where I got off one plane and walked around a desk to catch the next one - as the last person to board. Had it taken me a minute or two more to get off the first plane, I'd have missed my connecting flight. My family thought it was so exciting that I got to fly various places for work. Yeah, sure - if your idea of sightseeing is the inside of airports and freight hubs.

I know the feeling.  When we finally got to SFX, I dropped off my family and then had to take the rental car back.  By the time I got back to the the terminal, they told me to run like shit to the gate because if the door was closed I'd be out of luck.  Made it just as they were about to close the door.  The best part of the flight?  Professor Stephen Hawking was sitting across from me for the flight back to Toronto.
