This pictorial is a perfect example of why I haven't liked Playgirl since the mid-nineties. This handsome man is posing completely nude, and I have no idea what his flaccid penis looks like. Why must the model sport an erection in EVERY photo? It's too much of a good thing; it was a turn-on when hard-ons were featured sparingly. I totally agree with you orrajameson!

The layouts of the 70's, 80's until mid/late 90's were well produced and artistically directed photo essays of attractive men of all types undressing. The excitement built up from first seeing the face of the model, it created an anticipation to seeing him naked. Sometimes I couldn't believe that in a matter of moments I am going to see this very appealing man totally naked. Playgirl was also good at creating an illusion that you are looking at an everyday man that for some reason or other decided to pose naked. I know that in many cases the men were professional strippers or adult entertainers but somehow they still managed to look real and not as if they were doing this for a living. In the 2000's it became even worst... you could tell that the photographer was just clicking away with his digital camera at cheap locations like rented hotel rooms. I do miss the vintage look or at least the effort that Daniel Nardicio put into the magazine the he tried reviving it  around 2010 and managed to get some celebrities naked for us.

But variety is the spice of life.  A beatiful man, but only posed in one location.  Would have been nice to see him in other settings.
