Also, to comment on an earlier thread, there's really no cameraman guys. If you look in the corner, they're using SKYPE again. It's probably Linda (Drew's wife) behind the camera doing the zooming in/out.

LOL, reading this in the harsh light of day I realize I'm closer to 4 feet kneeling!!! I was just thinking how lucky his much shorter wife is to be at the foot of the bed with him in his socks on a bed and I got carried away with size difference fantasies! Hahaha!

In all seriousness, I would like to be a fly on the wall when they...you know. I bet it "hurt" the first time, and the second...Oh my.

Shawn Wilsie (of ShopNBC, ShopHQ, EVINE and now ShopHQ again) is back on ShopLC and Daniel Green has left (ShopLC) to go back to ShopHQ. He was there to do Waterford Crystal on Friday. Does that mean he won't be hosting other shows? I dunno.

He's been gone a couple years or so. I think he was sick. He was doing podcasts and dishing about the industry (home shopping).

I think it's cool that TJC bought Ideal World.

When I found out that ShopHQ declared bankruptcy, I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop...

The parallels between ShopHQ and Ideal World are interesting.

Ideal World abruptly stopped broadcasting while around the same time ShopHQ broadcast pre-recorded shows while its fate hung in the balance.

Both were acquired by wealthy corporation/individuals from India.

ShopHQ was purchased by the founder of the corporation that produces the 5-hour energy drink, Manoj Bhargava. 'admits he doesn't know much about women's fashion, jewelry or beauty products..'

At least the corporation that purchased Ideal World knows all about manufacturing jewelry and running home shopping networks, i.e. TJC, ShopLC, ShopLC Germany, etc.

ShopHQ has a new vendor. Cirari Jewelry has been a vendor from India on Gem Shopping (GSN) for several years. They are now also a vendor on ShopHQ.

I remember when it was taboo on home shopping channels for a vendor to simultaneously sell product to more than one in the same country. Now Cirari is literally selling their items at the same time on both ShopHQ and GSN. I was channel surfing and I saw Cirari on both channels!

Their recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy is going to make finding new vendors a challenge. New vendors are wary. I don't blame them.

The fact that the new owner of ShopHQ is from India and so is Cirari coincidence? I think not. This is good thing. If ShopHQ is going to compete with the other shopping channels as a high-end network, they need new high end vendors.

Even GSN makes fun of ShopHQ by saying, "You know what you won't see here? Medical devices."  A vendor on GSN says that frequently when he's on! LOL.
