Change Profile and Cover Photo

This article explains how to upload a Profile Photo and Cover Photo.

The Profile Photo is your avatar that appears next to your posts.  It will appear everywhere next to your posts.  You should think of it as your online persona throughout the community.

The Cover Photo is a background banner photo to personalize your profile, like a wallpaper. It will only appear on your profile. 

Uploading a Profile Photo and Cover Photo can help brighten and customize your profile to let your online persona shine through.  

Upload Profile Photo

• Navigate to your profile.  To do so,
  • Click on your user picture in the upper right-hand corner.  OR
  • Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner to open the User Menu, then go to Profile.
• Once you're on your Profile page, click on Profile Photo []. This is the small blue button in the lower left corner.  See Screenshot:

• You will be presented with an option to Upload a photo. Click [Continue].
•  You will be presented with a grid to crop or rearrange the photo. Click [Save].  

You can change or remove your Profile Photo at any time.  

Upload Cover Photo

• Navigate to your profile.  To do so,
  • Click on your user picture in the upper right-hand corner.  OR
  • Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner to open the User Menu, then go to Profile.
• Once you're on your Profile page, click on [Cover Photo]. This is the transparent black button in the upper right corner. See Screenshot:  

• Upload a photo that covers the entire banner area. Click [Save] 
• Drag the cover image to reposition it. Click [Save position.]

Recommended minimum dimensions are 680 x 1024. You can change, reposition, or remove your Cover Photo at any time.
