Studio Jenkins - Greg Plitt

George Gregory Plitt, Jr. (November 3, 1977 – January 17, 2015) was an American fitness model, actor, and former Army Ranger. He starred in the Bravo television series Work Out.[2] He died at age 37 when he was struck by a train locomotive while filming a video.

I believe I heard his death was caused by a stunt with a moving train that went wrong. Very sad. He was a very good looking guy with a great body that was really into fitness and working out.

Plitt was one of the fitness/physique models who propelled that genre into the mainstream of the broader bodybuilding world in the early 20-teens.  When he appeared on the covers of several men's fitness magazines, he was stationed at an Army post 15 minutes from where I live.  Although he may have worked out at one of the numerous chain private gyms in the area, I never lurked in the Army post's gym in hopes of seeing him.  Maybe this was an error in judgment.  RIP, Greg.
