Apparently  they aren't allowed to wear cups.  Didn't see these kind of displays at the Olympics.  Love the photos anyways.😛

Most of the singlets pictured are cut pretty high up around the neck and arm holes with fairly long trunks. Relative to the singlets I remember wearing in school back in the 90's, these seem super-conservative as they provide a whole lot of coverage.  The rigs we were given for varsity wrestling 30 years ago had neck openings plunging down below the pecs and arm openings so wide that all the guys' nipples showed (which we all pretended to hate).  All that AND trunks cut a lot higher made for some awkward/hot/tense wrestling meets.  

Any thoughts on why wrestling fans are treated to so much less bare flesh these days?
