Some years ago, I happened to be in a hardware store on 9th Ave in midtown Manhattan and he was there buying supplies. Covered in plaster dust, wearing overalls and a tee, he looked like he was doing construction, or helping a friend. Not a tall man, kinda chunky but not squat, it would have been while he was still in his Colt period, and if he was looking less godlike than in these shots he was pretty damn fine. He saw me recognize him and  wrapped up his business before I said anything embarrassing - I guess people do - like can I please lick you clean and how's Mike doing?
