I am, very briefly, in The Spy Who Loved Me. Revolting people, and R Moore was much smaller than I'd expected. Great production design by Ken Adam, who created the Bond 'look' and had the coolest car, and one of the best songs.

When these were first invented I loved these... I think they changed the recipe or my tastes became more refined... because I didn't like the last one I had 20-ish years ago.

These were literally in every mall everywhere in the 70s and 80s. Geez this brings back memories of meeting the guys for lunch in the mall. We all worked at different stores. I worked at Burdine's. My BFF worked at Sears on the other end of the mall. Other buds were at Foot Locker, Spencer's, Thom McAn, Kay Bee's and Circus World. Good Times! O to be 17 again!

I forgot all about thee. My mom got one for the master bedroom in bisque. That was the color name for a sort of creamy color. People nowadays don't remember that phones for the longest were one color....black!

There really wasn't anyone like him. I followed him until his untimely death. Madonna had nothing on this guy for reinvention to remain relevant. Most of Madonna's "styles" are forgotten. Everyone knows Major Tom and Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane and The Thin White Duke...and I do mean everyone

My mother has one of these in her bedroom and it was a private line... There was a wall hanging phone in the kitchen that had three lines... the other two phones that were wired to it were in my step-fathers den, and there was another in the family room... way back when we were growing up we had a "teenager" line that was a separate number under the listing in the telephone book under the account holder... My brother and I shared it with a long... long cord that ran between the Jack & Jill bathroom that separated our bedrooms... in those days we lived in BFE and anyone that we wanted to talk to was a toll-call charged by the minute... so we didn't hang on the telephone too long like most teenagers... The big thing at the time... was long distance charges went down at 5:00 pm and again at 11:00 pm... the most notable charge for the time was... at the lowest possible long distance rate it still cost $1.00 a minute to call Hawaii to the mainland.

Nope, not "everyone."  I never cared for his music and didn't listen to the type of radio stations that played him...or Madonna, either, for that matter.

OK To each his own. I don't do country, rap, hip hop or opera, but I know a pretty good number of the artists.

Ok so I know that most critics name Citizen Kane as the greatest film ever made. I do love that movie. A well crafted movie is one you can watch again and again and never get bored, that's the first thing and the other thing is to see something new every time. I would have to say Gone with the Wind is the greatest motion picture ever made. Others come close true, but nothing is quite like it in all the world.
