it's finally started to warm up a little. I had to go to the food bank, to get supplies for a soup kitchen I try to help. when I came home, I was startled by heavy machinery all over the neighborhood, and I came to realize that my neighbor next door was cutting down all their trees (!) they are from Michigan, so they are apparently unaware that people in the old deep South love trees, which provide shade and cut down on air conditioning bills. whatever. I have my usual lineup of boyz and have a hard 🙂 time choosing the one I like best. guess I will leave it up to you. in the mean time, a warm welcome to our newest clubmembers!

Re: the tree-cutting neighbors from Michigan, that's not a Michigan kind of thing to do. People there need trees for windbreaks, and for shade in the summers when it's both hot and humid. I wouldn't rule out them being city folk, on the other hand. Don't even get me started on developers and the destruction of wildlife environments.

I have reason to believe we think alike. my comment was: the development code is a How To, not a Must Do document. the neighbor's development doesn't affect me, I am only so sad to look out and see a bald yard 😞

If no permits were pulled, tree cutting in certain area’s is a violation; this should be reported to code enforcement & investigated
