On Control
There are things we can control and act on, and things we can't.
Focus on the things you can control.
I have infinite sympathy for those whose lives are turned upside down by Covid19. Many have lost jobs, many have family members who are hospitalized (and they're unable to visit), many have had to change plans. Channel your energy, thoughts, and prayers to the actions that you do control. If you're being forced to work from home, rearrange your home office to make it more comfortable. If you're a parent juggling work and homeschooling children, invite your kids to establish a schedule with you and build in time for yourself. If you've lost your job, stay in touch with the HR representative, reach out to your personal network, and polish up on your interviewing skills. If you've had to cancel your vacation overseas, plan a weekend trip in the car.
Find your strength to control the things that you can control. Find your strength to make peace with the things that you can't control.
